Language Spoken in Argentina

The official language is Spanish. You will notice the use of vos instead of tu, which is called voseo. This is the standard form of the informal second person singular. You will also get used to hearing “che!”. Porteños use it all the time to address another person informally.

The porteños can easily understand persons who speak Italian and Portuguese. Most people involved in tourist activities speak English.
